Adam Rubin From: Matthew Cerrone Dave.singer@gmail.com (Dave Singer) Hojo's Mojo Noreply@blogger.com (Tony Arnoldine) JamesK /26151698

Before going any further, Matthew Cerrone wants to get this straight:
Rubin will also be a guest on SNY s Daily News Live at 5:00 pm. i hope omar had Jeff Wilpon s blessing for calling rubin out by name, because if not, and omar did this on his own, and just caused more heat, he better look out

Still not being convinced, dave.singer@gmail.com (Dave Singer) replies:

Matthew Cerrone objects:
64 Responses to Crazy: Minaya calls out Adam Rubin of Daily News Newer Comments » Patrick says: July 27, 2009 at 5:15 pm Rubin better be pretty sure of himself in what he is going to say. As Minaya better also hope that what Jeff Wilpon told him is factual and based on concrete evidence. Not a picture he drew during the 6th inning of yesterday s game.

Matthew Cerrone says it all comes down to this:
JohnPacellasCap says: July 27, 2009 at 6:17 pm If the point of going after Rubin was to spook the media from writing negative articles about how the organization was run, I think it is going to have, if anything, the exact opposite effect. If this is a battle, the media will long outlive Omar. That s why Omar s gratuitous comments about Rubin were ill-conceived. Even if true, it does nothing to make the organization look any better. That s why it s a disaster from a PR perspective. Omar stepped all over the story, which should have been that the organization was responsible in ridding itself of a highly ranked eomployee who nonetheless didn t conduct himself in a professional manner. Instead, the stories are now about Omar squaring off with a reporter.

Hojo's Mojo also takes into account the following fact:
Jazz says: July 27, 2009 at 3:49 pm FINALLY! he got fired .damnn it took this long to get rid off this Ass*ole. I know Willy Randolph must be chuckling now..saying Karma is a bitch now Bearnard show know the meaning of Karma Reply

However, Hojo's Mojo states that:
So please fire Omar next, then restaff your training & medical staff and lets win some friggin championships!!!!

Still not being convinced, noreply@blogger.com (Tony Arnoldine) replies:

Meanwhile, Hojo's Mojo came up with this idea:
blue & orange ny says: July 27, 2009 at 4:57 pm wwwoooooowwwwwww! he rebounded for a guy who has had a bad track record and start a girls fight with Rubin .this is insane .I ve backed this guy up for all this time, given him benefit of the doubt but damn this doesn t make him look good ..get him out of there Wilpons Reply

In addition to this, JamesK states:
Lets hope that when gut check time comes again the Mets will pass it with flying colors.

As a result of that, JamesK belives:
yes, i think thats pretty much ok i believe most people refer to that as networking. Lets hope that when gut check time comes again the Mets will pass it with flying colors. by kendynamo on Jul 28, 2009 2:55 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs I refer to that as sneaky but whatever.. by MetsGod on Jul 28, 2009 3:14 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs do you mind me asking what you do for a living? i cant think of any profession where stuff like this doesnt happen. Lets hope that when gut check time comes again the Mets will pass it with flying colors. by kendynamo on Jul 28, 2009 3:21 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Furthermore, Matthew Cerrone claims:
deloid says: July 27, 2009 at 6:00 pm This is a serious problem with terrible timing. IF the Mets had any possibility of even a low level trade that has now vanished. What GM would waste his time exploring anything with the Mets now (considering this behavior and impending termination)? Omar is no longer trustworthy of making any changes at this time. I can t see any choice but to fire him immediately and try to bring in a known entity that other GMs might trust. Let s get a tough GM and enhance the scouting capabilities of the Mets now!

In other words, dave.singer@gmail.com (Dave Singer) puts it this way:
July 28, 2009 8:33:00 AM EDT kranepool society said... Dave, Count me in on the side of Adam Rubin. Omar came off as a total jerk yesterday and if the Wilpon s had a pair of balls betwen them there would be a press conference at Citi Field today annoucning Minaya s firing. Even if your take is true that Rubin asked about a job with the Mets which I don t believe I believe just what Adam said that we asked how does one go about getting a job in baseball, it doesn t take away that Omar had to know about all of Tony B d trangrstions and did nothing about them until someone leaked the info to Rubin.

Matthew Cerrone brings more details:
64 Responses to Crazy: Minaya calls out Adam Rubin of Daily News Newer Comments » Patrick says: July 27, 2009 at 5:15 pm Rubin better be pretty sure of himself in what he is going to say. Still not being convinced, JamesK replies:
Also, I think you re take on this is influenced by your own bias against the MSM and their trumpeting of their code of ethics. IMO, whether or not the MSM generally adheres to their mythical code is irrelevant here because I don t think what Rubin did was unethical.

Hojo's Mojo brings more details:
Omar fills the lineup with bloated contracts, then is forced to pick the scrap heap for other players. Some times it works, so someone calls him a genius. But mostly, its a horrible business plan.

In addition to this, dave.singer@gmail.com (Dave Singer) states:
Even in Rubin's story from today's Daily News, he quotes Omar incorrectly, which is not proper journalism."Adam has lobbied for THE player development position," Minaya said.

dave.singer@gmail.com (Dave Singer) brings some great news:
Omar called him on it....he may have botched the message and the timing by doing it in the press conference, but it's something that needed to be told.
